Apply the 1st clip one base width from the dead end of wire rope. The base or saddle should bear on the live end of the rope -- U-bolt on the short end. Tighten nuts firmly. 2. Attach second clip as close to loop as possible. Tighten nuts but not firmly. 3. Attach balance of clips spaced equally between 1st two clips. Tighten all nuts completely. Apply initial load--inspect nuts and retighten. TIPS 1. Tighten the nut using a socket / nut driver. Drills can be used, but be sure not to over-tighten because the wires may bend. 2. Be sure to fold back a minimum of 3 inches and 3/4 inches of wire 3. Do not use plastic coated wire rope. 4. Do not install saddles on the dead ends of the cable. The dead ends of the cable only U-bolts, broken will not affect the breaking strength of the lifting wire. 5. Do not reuse the clips. 6. Inspect all clips periodically
