This cable is also ideal for turntables with carbon fibre arm, as carbon fibre is not as conductive as other materials, sometimes resulting in an insufficient ground.
  • When to use a turntable ground lead:
  • Even if the earth wire is connected between the turntable and the phono amp/amplifier, your system will still make a ground hum (or buzz). Your turntable has a carbon fibre phono arm.
  • When not to use a turntable earth wire:
  • The noise produced is due to electrical interference from the turntable motor or other equipment.The earth noise disappears when you touch the turntable arm tube. This is more likely to indicate a problem with the phono arm wiring.The earth wire is not connected between the turntable and the phono amplifier/amplifier.
