The WingLock style inflates to an impressive 3 inches making it one of the thickest self-inflating backpacking pads available, features Thermarest’s StrataCore construction that helps save weight while adding warmth, uses an ultra-cozy stretch knit fabric to maximize comfort in the backcountry, and boasts a 4.4 R-value for year-round adventuring (R-value measures the material’s ability to insulate; the higher the R-value, the warmer the sleeping pad). Where the Standard Valve style has a 4.0 R-value, and is 2 inches thick. Both styles feature an expandable foam core that will self-inflate; top off with a few breaths.
