The raw material cellulose is of natural origin - handmade comb made of cellulose acetate. We would like to briefly introduce you to the manufacturing process of the elaborately crafted combs: First step: strips are made from the raw product, cellulose acetate plates. Second step: these are shortened to individual comb lengths. In different steps, the edges are bevelled and the prongs are ground. Third step: Now the individual prongs are processed into a smooth edge in a wet process - according to the comb type. Step four: the combs are finished and are processed with wood chips for up to 5 days depending on the model. All edges are further sanded and the comb gets first shine. Fifth step: in a final refinement process, each comb gets its material-typical, silky-shiny look and a silver or gold stamp. Each comb goes through a manufacturing process of up to 10 days.
