- It is reverse-wound, reverse-polarity (RW/RP) and thus hum-free with the bridge pickup. P90 pickups are used by many guitar players for the best sounding pickup. Stronger and with more attitude than a traditional single coil, but clearer and less compressed than a humbucker, these PUs have always enjoyed a certain popularity.
