Product Description Rover developed the Vitesse from the Specialist Division Number 1, or SD1, updating it with a fuel injected V8 showing off 192 horsepower. TWR, or Tom Walkinshaw Racing was a major contender in the 70s and 80s and started racing the Rover Vitesse in 1985 in the Eurpean Touring Car Championship winning six of the 14 races entered that year. In 1986, sporting the Texaco / Bastos livery were entered in the Touring Car Championship, taking third again.
