Samyang's 50mm T1.3 AS UMC CS is a standard angle manual focus cine lens for mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensor sizes. With a significantly bright T1.3 aperture, the lens creates bright and crisp images under restrictive lighting conditions, and impressive bokeh even with mirrorless cameras. Samyang's 50mm T1.3 AS UMC CS allows more delicate video work with T number marks on the lens body. The focus gear ring is compatible with follow focus systems, and you can change the aperture quietly and smoothly with the uncoupled aperture gear ring. Also, distance scale and T numbers are marked on both sides of the lens for convenience. Samyang 50mm T1.3 AS UMC CS has a significantly low T number (T1.3) which allows you to precisely control the lens when shooting under various exposure environments, including relatively dark situations. The lens features 9 glasses in 7 groups including 2 glass aspherical lenses (ASP) to offer a high resolution throughout the image. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) helps to optimise the light penetration and minimises flare and ghosting. The lens features 9 aperture blades which are designed to be almost a full circle when the aperture is closed. This produces starlike rays clearly and beautifully. The solid frame of the lens is constructed from high-strength aluminium alloy which allows the lens to be lightweight, yet strong. A detachable petal-shaped lens hood further minimises flare and ghosting by sheltering the lens from unwanted stray light.
