- Test the 8 wires 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 and earth G.
- Tests continuity of RJ45 and RJ11 cables. Connect the master tester to one end of the cable, and the satellite unit to the other. A quick scan of the 8 wires and the earth (STP cables) will tell you whether the cords are continuous and what type they are (straight/crossed).
- Powered either by a 9V battery (not supplied) or by a USB cable connected to the side port.
