Product Description The Saturn IV gear motor is specifically designed for irrigation of landscape areas that require a casting distance of up to 25 feet between sprinkler heads. Its arc is adjustable in precise increments from 40 to 360 degrees, so you can aim for the water to only hit the landscape and avoid hardscape surfaces. The 4 inch pop-up height ensures that the nozzle clears tall grass. It comes with a pre-installed 2 gallon per minute (GPM) nozzle that results in a full-pattern rainfall rate of 0.3 inches per hour at 25 feet square spacing at 40 PSI. This very low rate reduces the risk of runoff or puddles for many soil types and conditions. It also includes a matching rain nozzle rack with 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 and 5.0 GPM nozzles with a unique keyway design to ensure very even watering near and far. It includes a radius adjustment screw that allows you to reduce rotor throw to 75 percent of its rated distance. It also includes a lower inlet filter that helps prevent clogging of the nozzle. The box and riser are made of impact-resistant ABS and metal components made of stainless steel. Adjustment radius and arc require the included gear motor wrench. The inlet is 1/5.1 cm female pipe thread (FPT). The state-of-the-art approach to mounting a Saturn IV is on a 1/2" male tube thread (MPT) Blu-Lock combination swing joint, although it is compatible with 1/2" MPT Funny pipe fittings, swivel fittings, and risers. The Saturn IV replaces rotors from Orbit, Hydro-Rain and other major brands. Recommended operating pressure is 40 PSI. Use only for outdoor irrigation with cold water.
