The NIBCO 5811 T-pipe fitting is made of ABS for use in drain, waste and vent plumbing (DWV) and features hub connections. This tee is T-shaped and has three openings for connecting and branching off three pipes, two on the main run and a branch at a 90 degree angle from the center of the tee. Pipe dimensions for tees are shown as A x W x C. "A" and "B" indicate the main run on the fitting, and "C" indicates the branch. It has female hub openings to slide over the ends of male pipes. Hub end connects to pipes with a smooth bore for improved flow. This fitting is made of ABS for use in non-pressurised drain, waste and vent systems for residential and commercial applications. ABS resists most household chemicals and many corrosive and abrasive industrial fluids, works under a wide temperature range, has high impact resistance, and is lighter in weight than metal for easy installation above or below ground. ABS can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper or cast iron via transition fittings. This fitting provides excellent flow to metal due to its smooth interior design, which reduces friction and inhibits the accumulation of materials.
