Product Description The M4 Sherman medium tank was undoubtedly the most used and used armored vehicle during World War II. The M4 formed the backbone of American armored forces and was produced in numerous versions and variants. The Sherman "Wet" was developed during tank deployment time to reduce the risk of fire in battle. Previous versions of production were particularly vulnerable to fire. The variant, introduced from 1944, used newly designed, strategically placed fuel tanks to minimize the risk of explosions and fires. The solution consisted of fuel tanks immersed in a propylene glycol solution, hence the designation "wet". This modification turned out to be effective, and the crews appreciated the increased reliability and survival in combat. The M4 Sherman Wet has been widely used in European theatre of war in the later stages of the war.
