The Mil Mi-24 attack helicopter entered service in the early 1970s with the Soviet Armed Forces. Characterized by its original shape and easily recognizable, it was endowed with high firepower. Its robust construction and heavy armored have allowed the Mi-24 to take a leading role in the armed forces of Eastern countries and has been used in numerous operational theatres. The Mi-24 has also been constantly updated over time in weapon systems and on-board avionics. Among the versions made, the Mi-24P "Hind-F" was equipped with a powerful 30 mm fixed two-barrelled cannon with high speed firing installed on the right flank of the fuselage.
