With the ToughArmor MB833M2K-B, ICY DOCK introduces the world's first tool-free M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD removable frame. No need to install your M.2 NVMe SSD on the motherboard or expansion card with tiny screws. Instead, you can access it from the front of your computer and install it without any tools. The ToughArmor MB833M2K-B offers a patent-pending tool-free M.2 SSD installation design that significantly simplifies the installation and maintenance of M.2 SSDs over previous methods. The ToughArmor MB833M2K-B supports fast PCIe x4 transfer rates of up to 32Gb/s via MiniSAS HD (SFF-8643) and accepts all conventional M.2 SSD lengths from 30 mm to 110 mm (2230, 2242, 2260, 280, 22110). In addition, in addition to numerous ventilation openings, the slot is also equipped with a highly efficient aluminium heat sink that ensures that all M.2 NVMe SSDs work in an optimal temperature range even under full load. A typical M.2 SSD is installed on the motherboard or in an expansion card and fixed by a tiny screw. Installation and removal can be a laborious and time-consuming process. M.2 NVMe SSDs are known for their strong heat generation, which leads to performance loss and reduced transfer speeds. We are aware of this problem and have therefore integrated particularly efficient and extra large aluminium heatsinks into every ToughArmor MB833M2K-B slot. Each ToughArmor MB833M2K-B also includes thermal pads to ensure heat is distributed across the entire heat sink.
