Product Description Hydor Theo heaters off the safety alternative to heating yet. Combining an electronic thermostat with a PTC element, ensures a very safe and reliable product. Theo can be used in Marine as well as freshwater, is safe when removed from the water as it switches itself off, only turning back on when it senses it has returned to the water. Shatterproof borosillicate glass is used for a stronger product. Can be used in horizontal positions such as for amphibians due to the smart electronic control. Instructions: 1. if the heater is too small for the aquarium? It will run and run but may never reach the optimum temperature for tropical fish. This is because heaters only increase the temperature of the water above the ambient room temperature. 2.if the aquarium is mounted in a cold room,again it is possible that the heater can run continually and will not get to the optimum temperature. In this situation the consumer will need to buy a bigger heater. 3.A 100w heater will only heat an aquarium of 50-100litres in a centrally heated house adequately. 4. If the heater is mounted horizontally without its fixing, it is possible that the heater thermostat will not work correctly and so the heater will not come on.
