Replace cartridge every 6 months (5,678 litres) or earlier if noticeable reduction in flow rate occurs; taste and odours become noticeable; scale inhibitor is exhausted. DO NOT install where water hammer conditions may occur. If water hammer conditions do exist, you MUST install a water hammer arrester. DO NOT install if water pressure exceeds 120 psi. If water pressure exceeds 80 psi (552 kPa), you must install a pressure limiting valve. DO NOT install on a hot water supply. DO NOT install filters in systems where ambient temperatures may go above 100°F or below 40°F, a backflow prevention device has been installed on a water system, a device for controlling pressure due to thermal expansion must also be installed.
