This egg is a replica of the famous Alexander Palace Fabergé egg. The Alexander Palace Egg is a jeweled Easter egg made in 1908 under the supervision of Russian jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé for the then Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II. Nicholas presented it to his wife Alexandra Fyodorovna as an Easter gift. Inside the egg is the small replica of the Alexander Palace, the favourite residence of the Russian imperial family in Tsarskoye Selo. The egg can be used as a jewellery box.
