It will keep your landlord happy! Preparation is key The window film should always be stuck on at room temperature - 5-25 °C. Incoming sunlight: wait a moment! The sun heats up the window pane, this can produce bubbles in the material. 1. Clean the surface, take measurements, cut to size First clean the glass onto which you want to put up the partition. For measuring and tailoring, you will need a ruler and sharp cutter-knife - this allows you to finely adjust the film. 2. Moisten pane Put some detergent mixed with water into a spray bottle and use it to moisten the pane. Your pane should be nice and wet! 3. Don't forget: remove transparent backing film It peels off easily from the corners. The static cling-effect only works without the backing film. 4. Put up window film. You can now attach the film to the glass surface using the smooth underside. It "floats" on the soapy water and is easy to move. The squeegee will do it. Now use a squeegee (or spatula) to squeeze the liquid outwards. 6. Remove film residues. Is it still too large? To finish things off, the squeegee and knife can be used to cut the edges clean.
