This filter prevents overexposure of the finest details especially when observing the moon and planet but also when observing the sun. Sun observation only in combination with a suitable sun protection filter. Especially when using a Herschel wedge and large lens openings, the brightness of the observation objects can be reduced to a pleasant extent thanks to the variable polarising filter. The wide control range from 40% to 1% light transmission and the neutral grey filter effect create a pleasant and unadulterated image. The operation is very simple.
