The intensity of the emissions varies depending on the distance from the basking area. Appropriate levels of UV are vital for the physiological wellbeing of these animals, which exhibit an aversion to direct solar exposure. Typically known as ‘shade dwellers’, these animals have adapted to nocturnal and crepuscular activity – opting for either deliberate or concealed exposure to sunlight.The Exo Terra® Reptile UVB100 VHO T5 Bulb helps promote healthy Vitamin D3 synthesis, which in turn facilitates improved calcium absorption – safeguarding against Metabolic Bone Disease.
