Product description
EUPOSIA - Tastevin Sommelier Mod. Professional Burgundy - Silver Plated - Pack. complete with chain hanger and protective clutch (hand made) - The Tastevin today represents an object symbol of the sommelier. It was already adopted in France in the 17th century with bourgeois families and spread rapidly between the 19th and 20th centuries. The Borgognone model (proposed in this package) equipped with a grip ring, inside it has a large central bubble called "level bubble" which must never be overcome by the wine that is poured there. Around this central bubble there is a series of 14 small beads in relief that have the function, shaking the tastevin, to oxygenate the spilled wine faster. On the left side of the handle it has a series of 8 indenting pearls that are concave and serve for visual examination of red wines, known to be less transparent. On the right side there are 17 hollow ribs which highlight the color and clarity of white wines. Tastevin is carried hanging on the neck by means of a chain. To use it, open the carabiner and detach it from the chain. To evaluate white wines you hold it with your left hand and pour the wine with your right. On the contrary, to examine a red you pour the wine with your left and hold the handle on the rest using your right hand. Tastevin should not be wet with water and should be dried after each use with a clean odour-free cloth to prevent mold from forming.
