The E708 machine tap produces NPSM (National Pipe Straight Mechanical) parallel pipe threads conforming to the American National Standards Institute. The taps are manufactured from High Speed steel for longer tool life and better performance, and have a bright finish to stop workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool, so ensuring a cleaner, more accurate thread. E708 taps have a straight flute design, making them suitable for threading both through and blind holes, and can be used to thread many materials incl. steels, aluminium and stainless steels.
