With the same Izanas fiber construction that made J Braid so popular, but now with DAIWA's silicone coating PE technology to create a smooth low-friction braid with hydrophobic properties that increases durability and improves feel. Thanks to the silicone coating of J Braid Expedition, the braid does not absorb water. This is important, because it means that the braid also does not absorb the sludge and sediment present in the water, which is the main cause of wear of the braided line over time. By draining water thanks to its hydrophobic properties, J Braid Expedition lasts longer than traditional braided lines, bringing more value and better performance. The benefits don't stop either: With an incredibly high number of weaves, J Braid Expedition is braided more tightly than almost any other line on the market, creating an incredibly round profile braid that won't separate or fray during use.
