The Gara Modular Sprint fin is the new model 2020 part of the Cressi Gara line. It is a shorter version of the impulse fin that has proven to be very popular with freedivers worldwide, both amateurs and the most demanding professional freedivers. This is also corroborated by the variety of articles devoted to him by specialist journalists in sector magazines. Sprint is designed to meet the needs of freedivers and spearfishers, who practice this sport in winter and when a fin is not necessary for as long as impulses are not necessary. Both fins have been developed using expensive Finite Element software programs that can be used to define highly complex and equally powerful sections. Sprint's blade, like the Impulse blade, is made from a single thermoplastic elastomer, although it would be more correct to refer to an angled bottom layer and overlay. The bottom layer follows the shape and dimensions of almost the entire fin. It has an even thickness and a flexible longitudinal drive blade with variable length. On the other hand, the so-called overlay selectively covers the drive blade and has a thickness that drops from the maximum value to zero along the blade tip. As a result, the fin provides a new way of storing and releasing elastic potential energy, which greatly supports the movement of the freediver's legs, thus guaranteeing a net improvement in drive performance. When disassembled, the blade and foot pocket take up the space of a normal snorkel fin. The Gara Modular Sprint is designed and manufactured in Italy by Cressi, an Italian brand pioneer in freedive, spearfish and diving equipment since 1946. The product comes with a 2-year limited warranty.
