Product description Cool Bites are handy bite sized treats ideal for horses with anxiety in exciting, stressful or new environments such as travelling, hacking & competing, helping them stay calm, confident, relaxed & less anxious without compromising performance. Made with the amino acid L-Tyrosine to help with the production of Dopamine, Adrenaline and Norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters can affect behaviour when depleted. Formulated with the key ingredients L-Tyrosine, Peppermint, Flax and Vitamin E making Cool Bites highly effective and palatable treats. Helps horses with anxious, nervous behaviour stay calm and focused. Baked by hand for consistency & quality, each Cool Bite is carefully cut and weighed to ensure your horse is getting the correct amounts of the active ingredient L-Tyrosine. L-Tyrosine - an amino acid that is used by the body to make neurotransmitters, such as Dopamine, Adrenaline and Norepinephrine. Under stress, the body burns through these neurotransmitters which can lead to insufficient levels in the brain and that can impact behavioural issues. Replenishing levels of L-Tyrosine can help maintain normal levels of these neurotransmitters helping your horse stay calm, relaxed, confident & focused. Peppermint Oil - used in our Cool Bites to give them their tasty flavour, while supporting the digestive & respiratory system. Flax Seed - rich in soluble fibre, particularly mucilage which forms a gel like coating when mixed with digestive fluids acting as a barrier against stomach acid. Flax is one of the best plant sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid which can support the health of the brain and nervous system. Vitamin E - a powerful antioxidant, that plays a critical role in protecting the horse from everyday oxidative stress which is particuraly relevant for high performance horses. Vitamin E is an important nutrient that supports muscle health and protects cell membranes. In addition, it is an 'essential vitamin' (meaning your horse cannot synthesise it and it must be provided in the diet). Lasts 3-4 hours and can be topped up every 3 hours. For best results feed for 2-3 consecutive days to build up the Serotonin levels. Up to 4 Cool Bites™ can be given in a day.
