These Felt Bird Nest Liners are made from 100% Herdwick Sheep wool felt, collected from Herdies right here in Cumbria. They’re the perfect luxury item for small nesting birds and not only do they provide a warm and comfortable bed, but they’re natural and homely too! They are ideal for nesting canaries and finches, but they can also be used for other small birds such as pigeons, doves and quails. These liners fit perfectly in clay nesting bowls and provide a warm, natural, hygienic and comfortable bed for the young. They’re a luxury product for much-loved birds! Why Wool Nest Liners instead of Jute? Both the wool felt liners and jute liners do the same thing – they provide chicks with a natural, cosy environment until they’re old enough to leave the nests and explore. The wool felt provides a natural alternative nest material that is less fine and doesn’t break apart as easy as jute which can easily be pulled apart and accidentally swallowed by young birds. Each pack contains 10 liners for nest pans. They’re 5” (roughly 13cm) in diameter and 1cm thick.
