Eyepieces for planetary viewing The X-Cel LX series includes focal lengths from 2.3 to 25 mm and two Barlow lenses. Larger view The Celestron X-Cel LX eyepieces are high quality eyepieces that have been designed with a view to planetary observation and for convenient and comfortable viewing. The short focal lengths provide a comfortable viewing distance, so you can relax and concentrate on the delicate details. The Celestron X-Cel LX eyepieces are supplied with two dust caps and one cylindrical pack in which you can store them safely. The sleek case makes it possible to use the eyepieces also as binoculars: Their maximum diameter is 45 mm (48 mm incl. rubber ring). The X-Cel LX eyepieces are lightweight and compact enough for use on binocular approach. Experienced planetary observers appreciate the advantage of binocular vision. The 60° field of vision of the X-Cel LX gives them a pleasantly large image field without the well-known 'tunnel vision". They provide clear, sharp images of deep-sky objects. The image field is not artificially inflated and distorted as with some ultra wide angle eyepieces. The eyepieces have six lenses and are fully multi-coated. The case has an easy to grip rubber coating that provides a firm grip at all times - even with autumn dews. The eye cup can be adjusted by turning the height so that the eyepiece is usable even when wearing glasses. All X-Cel LX eyepieces are parfocal, so the focus does not have to corrected, or only slightly, when switching between different focal lengths. As well as the usual dust protection covers, the delivery also includes a practical protective case - in this protective case, you can store the eyepiece when not in use safely; the lid is simply screwed onto the container. All major focal lengths The eye cups can be adjusted smoothly in all X-Cel LX by twisting upward - here, for example, the 18 mm eyepiece. The X-Cel LX eyepieces are available in the seven focal lengths 25 mm, 18 mm, 12 mm, 9 mm, 7 mm, 5 mm and 2.3 mm. The series is complemented by two Barlow lenses with a double or triple extension factor, which makes available further increases.
