- ✅ Turn the wing nut to loosen and slide the blade out by pushing it down.Extend enough of the blade for it to reach through the piles and down to the carpet backing. Insert the CCA cushion-back carpet cutter between the piles at the carpet's edge, with the tool's nose facing along the path.
- ✅ Apply gentle pressure to the tool and slide it slowly down the open path between the piles. Hold the tool straight and steady so that it doesn't waver from the path and doesn't cut at an angle. Move the tool all the way across the carpet, cutting a smooth edge, ready for the perfect seam.
