API POND AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner works instantly as a water conditioner to remove chlorine and chloramines from tap water and neutralize heavy metals. API POND AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner also removes toxic ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates to restore a healthy aquatic environment when your test results show high levels of ammonia, which is extremely toxic for fish. Directions DIRECTIONS FOR TREATING TAP WATER: Shake bottle well directly before use. Using dosing cap on bottle, add 5 ml per 50 U.S. gallons (189 L). Or add 50 ml per 500 U.S. gallons (1890 L). DIRECTIONS TO DETOXIFY AMMONIA, NITRITE & NITRATE: Using dosing cap on bottle, add 5 ml per 10 U.S. gallons (38 L). Or add 50 ml per 100 U.S. gallons (380L). Add every 24 hours if needed. If after 7 days test results still show ammonia or nitrite, perform a partial water change.
