• IMPORTANT FOR BACTERIA: The bacteria in the aquarium need phosphate as an energy source to carry out important biological processes such as nitrification and denitrification. Without sufficient phosphate, the bacteria reduce these processes to almost 0.
• USE: First determine the phosphate level in your aquarium using a phosphate test. Dose 10 ml BASIC P per 100 litres of water to increase the PO4 level by 0.1 mg/l. The dosage can be administered daily. The ideal phosphate level is 0.03–0.05 mg/l.
