SALTYSHRIMP Sulawesi Mineral 8,5 | 800g - Sulawesi salt for hardening osmosis water, rainwater etc.. Reduction of bacterial load due to high pH value of 8.5
About this item
- MINERAL SALT: Sulawesi salt with a pH value of 8.5 is used to harden osmosis water, rainwater and demineralised water. Contains important minerals & trace elements to make it easy to breed even sensitive shrimps such as red-striped shrimps.
- APPLICATION: Harden water outside the aquarium with Sulawesi Mineral 8.5 to approx. 7 ยฐdH and a conductivity of approx. 220 +/- 40 ยตS (microsiemens). Mix one heaped measuring spoon (approx. 3.0g) to 20 litres of water - and then carefully pour it into the aquarium.
- CONTENTS: 800g - to increase the carbonate and total hardness of your water. Sufficient for up to 5,330 litres of aquarium water. Already successfully used by breeders.
- QUALITY: Our minerals are produced with carefully selected ingredients in our German factory. Over 25 years of expertise in aquaristics flow into each of our products.
- NOTE: Our water additive is based on on-site investigations of Lake Towuti in Sulawesi, Indonesia. Result: the water chemistry differs fundamentally from general lake water types. The Sulawesi Mineral 8.5 ensures almost identical water chemistry.
Product description
Product description SaltyShrimp - Sulawesi Mineral 8.5 Sulawesi Mineral 8.5 was developed after scientific analysis of the lakes in the Malili Lake system on Sulawesi and is used to harden osmosis water, rainwater, fully desalinated water, etc. It dissolves in the water with a little effort, but achieves an almost identical water composition to that found in Lake Towuti. It only dissolves in the water with some effort, but achieves an almost identical water composition to that found in Lake Towuti, with a correspondingly high pH value of approx. 8.5, which reduces the bacterial load. Sulawesi Mineral 8.5 contains all the important minerals and trace elements for the health, well-being and coloration of the well-known shrimp species from this region. It promotes microbial regeneration in bio-filter substrates. It also reduces the risk of dangerous germs by promoting antagonistic (counteracting) microflora. Increases the carbonate hardness and total hardness in the ratio KH/GH = 0.78/1.0. Note As it is still difficult to breed the very sensitive shrimp from Lake Towuti (e.g. the harlequin shrimp - Caridina woltereckae or red stripe shrimp - Caridina striata), we last visited the lakes in 2011 after 2008 to investigate the living conditions on site and have water samples analyzed. The results of the water analyses showed fundamental differences in the water chemistry of the lakes of the Malili system compared to generally known lake water types, so that we had to completely recompose the constellation of minerals here; this resulted in the Sulawesi Mineral 8.5. The less sensitive Sulawesi shrimps such as the cardinal shrimp (Caridina dennerli) can be kept and bred well with Sulawesi Mineral 7.5 and Sulawesi Mineral 8.5. In the case of the very sensitive shrimp species, we hope for better long-term results with Sulawesi Mineral 8.5, which is almost identical to the water chemistry of Lake Towuti. APPLICATION Stir the Sulawesi salt Sulawesi Mineral 8.5 into water outside the aquarium. It only dissolves when CO2 is added over a few days. With a normal amount of CO2 (one bubble per second), the salt dissolves completely in approx. 3-4 days. After adding CO2, the water must then be aerated with an aerator for at least 3 hours to expel the CO2. The water is then ready for use. Temperature adjustment to the aquarium water is recommended. Undissolved particles should be added to the aquarium. Close the can after each use. DOSAGE Soften osmosis water, rainwater, demineralized water, etc. with Sulawesi Mineral 8.5 to approx. 7 ยฐdH and conductivity approx. 220 +/- 40 ยตS (microsiemens), which corresponds to approximately one level measuring spoon (approx. 3 g) per 20 liters of water. Measuring spoon enclosed. AVAILABLE VARIANTS - 800g (sufficient for approx. 5.330 liters of aquarium water) Directions Stir the product in water, let it dissolve for a few days without adding CO2, vent the water for a few hours to remove CO2, adjust the temperature to match the aquarium water. Not adding undissolved particles into the aquarium. Close the box after each use.
