Cold Start Cartridge (Right-Lever Kitchen Tap) A cold start cartridge is a specially designed ceramic cartridge that ensures your kitchen tap opens in the cold water position by default when the right-hand lever is lifted straight up. Unlike standard cartridges that draw from both hot and cold supplies when set to the center position, the cold start cartridge only opens the cold water flow first.
